Construction work has started on two new large contemporary houses just off the Banbury Road, North Oxford, which have full basements. The Basement perimeter is formed with a contiguous piled wall which enabled the subsequent excavation of the 520 square metres of basement area. The basement excavation was completed in May and the basement slab installed in two large pours. The design of the houses will incorporate sunken terraces at basement level and two stories above ground with some full height atria in circulation spaces to each property.
